Ready Made Tingles

Το βίντεο αυτό αποτελεί κομμάτι της ομαδικής έκθεσης "Reality Through Fiction", που πραγματοποιήθηκε στο Circuits and Currents, στην Αθήνα, τον Οκτώβριο του 2015. Το "Reality Through Fiction" προέκυψε ως αποτέλεσμα μιας συλλογικής συζήτησης σε σχέση με τους τρόπους πρόσληψης, πραγμάτωσης και δόμησης του πραγματικού μέσω της διαρκούς προσφυγής στο φανταστικό.
Μοντάροντας βίντεο που ανεβάζουν χρήστες του YouTube, μέλη της κοινότητας του ASMR, με κεντρικό θέμα την απομόνωση αισθητηριακών ερεθισμάτων αλλά και τεχνικές όπως το role-playing, διερευνάται πώς, άνθρωποι από διαφορετικά background, κατασκευάζουν έναν κόσμο που κινείται στο μεταίχμιο του πραγματικού με το φανατστικό, με απώτερο στόχο τη πρόκληση μιας εγκεφαλικής αντίδρασης που βρίσκεται επίσης στο όριο της επιστήμης και της μυθοπλασίας.
This video is part of the group show "Reality Through Fiction" , Circuits and Currents, Athens, October 2015. "Reality Trough Fiction" came up as a result of a collective discourse around the ways of perception, realisation and structuring of the real through the constant recourse to the fictional.
In this work, I am using videos uploaded on YouTube by members of the ASMR community. Featuring content about the isolation of sensorial stimuli and role-playing, and looking to cause a cerebral "tingling" response, that is also located in the space between science and fiction, I am editing this material to find out how people from various backgrounds build and co-exist a universe that lies in between the real and the fictional.
